Our Advanced Services & Technology

Superior Quality in South Burlington

Dentistry as a whole has changed tremendously over the past few decades, enabling the team at Green Mountain Dental to address an even wider array of issues in less time while keeping our patients more comfortable. These days, we can do so much more than simply prevent cavities (though we certainly do plenty of that!). Because we only use the latest tools, we can relieve a wide range of chronic pain, better explain your care, and even eliminate the most extreme dental anxiety. Read on below to learn more about what makes our practice truly special.

TMJ Therapy

Man holding jaw in pain

Your TMJ is actually the name for your jaw joint, and like other joints in the body, it can sometimes develop issues due to strain or injury. This can lead to a variety of troublesome symptoms, such as a painful jaw, frequent headaches, earaches, and even neck, shoulder, and back pain. Our team is specially trained to diagnose and treat these kinds of issues, so we’ll examine your jaw every time you come to see us to make sure everything is in good shape.

Sedation Dentistry

Relaxed woman in dental chair

Sedation dentistry is one of our practice’s specialties, and with it, we can help even the most nervous dental patient enjoy calm and relaxing visits. Whether you are only slightly anxious about going to the dentist or completely terrified, these methods will help finally take the stress out of your dental care.

Intraoral Cameras

Using our intraoral camera, we can capture close-up, high-resolution images of your teeth and gums we can then show you on a nearby monitor. These will make it much easier for our team to spot minor dental issues, plus they’ll help you literally gain a whole new perspective on your dental health. We’ll be able to show you rather than tell you what we are seeing, which will make it much easier to understand why we might be recommending a certain treatment.

Digital X-Rays

Digital dental x-rays on tablet computer

Digital X-rays enable us to catch dental problems even before they are visible to the naked eye. They can create crystal clear images in seconds, and compared to traditional dental X-rays, they also emit up to 80% LESS radiation (which is great news for parents with small children). Plus, the images can be blown up, rotated, and color-coded so you can go over them with your dentist. They also make filing insurance claims easier than ever.

CEREC® Same-Day Crowns

CEREC in-office milling unit

Traditionally, it would take at least two visits, a messy dental impression, and a couple of weeks spent with an unreliable temporary to have one of your teeth repaired with a permanent crown, which to say the least, is a hassle! However, thanks to our CEREC technology, the entire process can now be completed in just one appointment without an uncomfortable impression or temporary, providing complete results in a fraction of the time.

Senior Dentistry

Smiling senior man in dental chair

As we age, everything changes, and that of course includes our smiles! Older adults have very specific dental needs that caregivers need to be familiar with in order to fully protect their oral and overall health, which is exactly the kind of knowledge we have here at Green Mountain Dental.

CT/Cone Beam Scanner

Cone beam imaging machine

In order to ensure the success of more advanced procedures like dental implant placement and root canal therapy, our team likes to put together extremely precise treatment plans. To do so, we use our CT/cone beam scanner, which enables us to create an extremely detailed, fully 3D image of a patient’s teeth, jaw, and surrounding oral structures, including the soft tissues and nerves. With this information, we can calibrate a treatment to perfectly suit a patient’s dental anatomy, making sure the procedure goes smoothly while also guaranteeing an easy recovery.
